Lacey Thompson, CSW-PIP
Bachelor of Science in Social Work, Oglala Lakota College, 2015 | Master of Social Work, Washington University in St. Louis, 2016
Lacey is dedicated to fostering resilience and meaningful change for individuals, families, and communities. With extensive experience serving Native American, rural, and underserved populations — including the LGBTQ+ community — she brings a deep understanding of how systemic factors and environment influence personal well-being. Lacey’s diverse professional background spans school-based settings, telehealth, crisis response, and systems-level program development, providing her with a comprehensive perspective on the complexities of the human experience.
Lacey’s clinical approach is grounded in evidence-based practices, blending Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Functional Family Therapy. She is always evolving her practice and is actively integrating the neuroscience of stress-related symptoms, somatic therapies, and Pain Reprocessing Therapy (PRT) into her work. She strives to create a safe, affirming, and empowering environment where clients feel supported in navigating their unique paths toward healing and long-term resilience.
Lacey is currently providing in-person visits in Rapid City and telehealth services in the larger South Dakota area.
